Erick RaichHead Director of California Club BaseballErick is currently the Head Baseball Coach at Palo Alto High School. Prior to being appointed Head Coach at Palo Alto, Erick was an Assistant Coach at perennial powerhouse West Valley College in Saratoga. While at West Valley College, Erick was the Outfield / Hitting / 1st Base Coach and had the opportunity to work under Hall of Fame Coach Mike Perez. During his coaching tenure at WVC, Erick had a vision of taking the best young talent to compete at a national level, all while providing instruction and training these players at the highest level possible. This vision became California Club Baseball, one of the top amateur baseball programs in the country. Associate Scout for the Los Angeles Dodgers Coaching Experience:

Kris HesenflowAssistant DirectorKris is currently the Pitching Coach for Willow Glen High School. In 2010 his pitching staff led the CCS in ERA, Strikeouts and Total Consecutive Wins (27). Prior to Willow Glen, Kris was the Head Assistant Coach at Prospect High School in Saratoga where he was in charge of handling everyday practices and running the team. Kris is an alumnus of Prospect High School where he played baseball. While a student/athlete at Prospect Kris played pitcher and catcher and was an All BVAL Selection in 1999 and 2000. From Prospect, Kris moved his playing career onto West Valley College where he was the closer and helped them to a Coast Conference Championship in 2001. His ability to relate to players and push them to their highest level makes Kris a phenomenal coach. CCB’s success is a direct result of Coach Hesenflow’s dedication and hard work. Donnie EckerPlayer Agent & Head of Player DevelopmentFounder of The Ecker Method, Donnie has been a baseball player his entire life. He's had a successful run as a player: as a high school standout athlete in football, basketball and baseball, and a great college career at Santa Clara University and Long Beach State. After his prep career Donnie played professional baseball for five seasons, three with the Texas Rangers, and two internationally. After finishing his professional career Donnie has moved onto helping younger athletes reach their full potential, and helped guide them onto the next level by through his education in sports psychology, strength and conditioning, and his own personal experience on the field. Frank PaytonCOLT Program DirectorFrank is a great addition to the CCB Coaching Staff and brings a tremendous baseball background with him. Frank played his prep baseball here in the South Bay at Wilcox High School where he starred on the baseball diamond and football field. After a great career at Wilcox High School, Frank moved onto Mission College where he played Middle Infield for legendary coach Sam Piraro. As a coach, Frank brings great enthusiasm and has a great passion for working with players. He is a devoted coach and does a tremendous job recruiting for our program. |

John WordenPalomino Program DirectorCoach Worden has brought himself out of retirement and back onto the baseball field. With a great coaching background, and many of championships won as a coach, Coach Worden is back at the helm as the 19u Palomino Coach. In his coaching tenure at Saratoga High School, Coach Worden helped lead Saratoga High School to its 1st CCS Title ever. In addition to that championship, John brought home the first ever Palomino Regional Championship to Saratoga while coming one game away from bringing them to the World Series. Lastly, John was the Manager for the San Jose Tigers and brought home a National Championship to San Jose in 2006. John brings a professional approach to CCB and is a perfect fit with the 19u players and their development in preparing for College |

Brian "Boomer" RicherInstructor/CoachBoomer is a quality coach who has coached the previous three years at West Valley College. His role there was assisting in all aspects of the game with his primary duties coaching Catchers and Pitchers. Boomer attended Santa Teresa High School where he caught for 3 years under Head Coach Steve Beaulieu and was an All League performer there. After Santa Teresa, he moved onto play at West Valley College as a catcher and was part of a Coast Conference Championship in 2006. Pete HernadezInstructor/CoachPete played his high school baseball at Fremont High School. After a great career at Fremont he went on to catch for San Jose City College, receiving All Coast Conference Honors. After playing at San Jose City College Pete moved onto play at UNC Greensboro and finished his college career at CSU Stanislaus. He is currently the Head Coach at Fremont High School. We are extremely excited to have Pete on board with our coaching staff. |

Rick RaichHead Roving InstructorRick has plenty of playing and coaching experience, having coached at Santa Clara University, San Jose City College, West Valley College, and Saratoga High School. Rick's playing career started at Willow Glen High School in San Jose. Following his high School years, he then went on to play his college baseball at San Jose City College under legendary coach John Oldham and Fresno State University. After his College career, Rick signed a Professional contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers and spent 5 years in Professional baseball. He has coached over 40 players who have gone on to play professional baseball, including Dave Righetti, Dave Steib, Scott Erickson, and Mike McFarland. Rick is one of the top pitching coaches in the nation. As such he is a very meticulous and detail-oriented coach and will bring those qualities to work with all players in our program. We are fortunate to have a coach with a much knowledge and background as Rick. |
