Minor League Hitting coach for the St. Louis Cardinals
CCB Hitting Director and Saratoga High School Head Coach
This program is designed to educate, evaluate, recommend changes and a plan of action for serious high school baseball players looking to take their hitting ability to the next level. With the help of the latest technology, players will work side by side with coaches for 3 weeks gaining knowledge about how the swing works, where they are at now and how to create meaningful changes to their swing and hitting ability.
Each player will receive a Blast Motion sensor, including a 1-year subscription to their online database so that they can upload their swings and share with coaches, or monitor themselves. This technology is used by 80% of MLB organizations. This is a $210 value, included with the program.
Each hitter will be evaluated using video, Blast Motion sensors, and Rapsodo to create baselines and track improvement, as well as some athletic ability testing. After that, they will embark on a path to address their issues, and tune their swing to be the most effective it can be. Players will be working alongside their peers as well, helping each other along the way.
Hitters will also get access to the Rapsodo machine, which will give a lot of instant feedback while working in a cage. They will learn to develop routines, as well as face challenging drills to train mechanics, approach and competitive edge.
We will have 4 groups of up to 6 players each. Each group will meet twice a week.
Sessions will start the week of November 18th and end December 14th.
