Youth Division Spring Training

(Sign Up Deadline is December 15, 2017)

One thing that separates CCB from other programs is our attention to detail. We look to build the athlete from the ground up and teach them the ins and outs of this game. Baseball is a game of inches. It is about honing in the minute details and executing fundamentals. Spring Training is a chance for our players to perfect their craft starting from the beginning stages.

Training Dates: Sunday, January 7, 2018 –  Sunday, January 28, 2018
Commitment: Sundays only
Ages: 9-14u

Stretch/Active Warm-up

We are happy to announce that Sparta Science ( trainer, Chase Spivey, will be working with our guys on a proper warm-up routine. Sparta Science is one of the most advanced and successful training facilities in the country. They work to train for athleticism. Sparta Science is the training source for numerous professional teams from all sports.

We install a throwing program specific to each position. For guys who are utility players we have a certain throwing program to follow.

Base running

We break down the proper form, technique, and strategy. Players will learn how to read the game from an offensive standpoint and learn how to gain bases without the help of a coach.

We breakdown basic CCB principles of fielding and hone the fundamentals. Players will learn the technique and responsibilities of every position in the infield. Outfielders will learn the techniques of tracking a baseball as well as learn routes and how to read a ball without watching it.

Will install proper mechanics, knowledge, and confidence. We will STUDY the game. Pitchers will be given a throwing and arm program that will be completed regularly through all seasons played for CCB.

We will learn proper receiving and blocking techniques and join a study session with pitchers to learn how to call pitches.

We will learn how to be aggressive to fastballs in the zone and be able to hit the ball to ALL fields with power. If you can take away and divide the plate into pieces, you can form a plan for success!

Body Care:

We will be bringing out certified Corrective Exercise Therapist, Brian Fischer, who will help relieve any scar tissue or body alignment issues. Brian is an expert at teaching functional movements and works with members of the 49ers, A’s, Blue Jays, and Dodgers. Brian is also completing his Doctorates in Physical Therapy at Baylor University
