Availability Survey Results

I have compiled everyone’s availability for the entire summer and it can be found on this document – 2027 Grads Summer Availability.

PLEASE CHECK THIS REGULARLY TO MAKE SURE YOUR STATUS IS CORRECT. There will definitely be changes to your availability and that is OK, but the earlier we know about it the better the experience for everyone this summer. For any availability changes, please email myself (kevin@calclubbaseball.com) and Erick (erick@calclubbaseball.com) and we will update the document.

If you have not filled out the survey yet, you can scroll down a little further to find it.

Schedules
There is always some confusion on this when I list the schedules as two separate teams so to avoid any confusion I’ll change it up. We run the grad classes as one fluid roster. The rosters for a weekend will change based on player availability and performance from week to week. There are certain events that are “invite only”. I try to get those invites out at least a month in advance to allow families to plan. There will always be cases where guys play well leading up to an event and we want to add them late. We can always get players chaperones if that creates a burden financially or schedule wise on the family.
Schedule Notes
  • Father’s Day is June 15 so we are looking to go Friday-Saturday that week and give Father’s Day off. Last year we went out to the Central Valley for a tournament. I know we all hated that, but I thought it was necessary given we were about to head out to USA Baseball in Arizona and hadn’t played any real games yet. The big events are backloaded this year so I think that is totally unnecessary.
  • We were considering doing a team camp in SoCal June 13-15, but given the reason above and also it is now an NCAA dead period (which just changed last week) we are going to stay local.
  • 4th of July weekend falls right in the middle of the schedule. I’m ok with giving that off if that’s what people want. We won’t do anything crazy that weekend if people are around and want to play.
Invite Only Events
Jun 29 – Jul 2 – West Coast Select Series (Orange County, CA) – we may attend based on availability survey
Jul 15 – Jul 20 – Dave Roberts World Series (North San Diego County, CA) – confirmed we are attending
Jul 24 – Jul 28 – Perfect Game World Series (Goodyear, AZ) – confirmed we are attending

Availability Survey

The link to the availability survey is here – 2027 Grads Summer Availability Survey

The instructions are on the survey and should be pretty self explanatory, but please reach out to me if there are any questions.

There is a section for notes so if you need to freehand write anything, please do it in the survey rather than via email. It’ll get lost haha.

Summer Expectations Doc

Speaking of summer expectations, I put this document together about 6 weeks ago. This was created in effort to get everyone on the same page from day 1 of training camp and also help everyone understand how I evaluate players before starting with us. That is attached here –
